The mission of the Monteagle Seventh-day Adventist Church is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ's love and His saving grace with one another, and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit inviting others to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
When everything may be falling apart, when you feel totally alone, Jesus is right there in the center of it all, offering peace, hope, strength, courage, and protection. He's always surprising us and touching our lives in thousands of new and personally unique ways. He's God's Son, the Creator, our Savior, and Friend. God loves us even when we choose to reject His love. In those times He allows us to walk away into a life of our own choosing. Yet He is still there, always ready to redeem us from the results of our decisions.
We don't have to be "good" for God to accept us. Once you allow Him into your life, He immediately begins "transforming" you into the best that you can be and blessing your life with fulfilling relationships, renewed relationships with those we love, and awesome experiences in life. God cleans away all our sins and replaces them with His goodness. Then, we begin to experience the transforming power of His love. It's like a giant war: one side pulling us toward empty pleasure and destruction, and God urging us to accept His offer of peace and purpose.
We worship on Saturday because the Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, describes the seventh day (Saturday) as the one day God has set aside (since creation) as a special time for rest, worship and fellowship; God calls this day the "Sabbath".
Jesus observed the Sabbath, Paul and the apostles observed the Sabbath after Christ's crucifixion (it was not nailed to the cross) and many mainstream denominations acknowledge the Bible truth of the seventh day (Saturday) as the Sabbath. That is why God wrote, "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy" with his own hand in the fourth commandment.
We are not saved by works, this is a special time set aside from the distractions of the week to deepen our relationship with God, family, and friends to walk in the spirit.
We are looking forward to meeting new people to share the Word of God and the joy that it brings to life! Please join us this Sabbath for Bible Study at 10:00AM and praise and worship at 11:00AM.
Other events and studies are listed on our calendar. If you cannot attend, check out our online Bible Studies, Prophecies of Scripture, or Bible Topic List.
